VietHoper Linh Pham: From Vietnam to New York City

Linh started volunteering with VietHope last year to give back to the children of Vietnam, something she had always wanted to do having been a student of the Vietnamese education herself. In the 11th grade, she earned a place to study in the US. Her journey took her to Brigham Young University, to San Francisco, and most recently, to New York City working for one of the Big 4 accounting firms in the world, PriceWaterHouseCoopers. Now on the grants team, she is helping VietHope find grantmakers who will partner with us to deliver scholarships to about 200 students each year.

The most rewarding part of Linh’s work at VietHope is the knowledge that she is helping students make it through the educational system in Vietnam. And though she has yet to meet all these students, she reads their Thank You letters and knows her efforts are making a difference in their futures.

VietHope thanks her and people like you that think outside a world beyond themselves, and into the lives of the many youths so less fortunate.
