Projects

We at VietHope believe that the wealth of Vietnam lies in its human capital and its prosperity is dependent on the harnessing of this human capital. As such, we believe that good education is an indispensable condition to Vietnam’s growth and future.

Our work falls into two main categories: (a) long-term scholarship programs and (b) construction educational projects such as building schools and libraries. 

Scholarship Programs:

• Primary Education Scholarship Programs: The Merit Scholarships and Community Scholarships provide financial assistance to children living in poor rural areas.
• University Scholarship Program: Established in the spring of 2005 to help talented first-year university students from poor families.

Construction Projects:

• Ca Mau school: Construction of an elementary school in the southernmost province of Vietnam.
• Thanh Hoa library: Building a small library in a poor village in the province of Thanh Hoa, central Vietnam.
• Con En library: Funding books for a library in An Giang province.
• Cần Giờ library: With brand-new bookshelves stocked with books and magazines, children in Can Gio are allowed to borrow books to bring home and read.
• School for disabled children in Hue: Along with several international NGOs, VietHope funds an educational center for disabled children in Hue, central Vietnam.
