Responsible Stewardship of Sponsors’ Funds
Although VietHope is primarily volunteer run, we take pride in being professional. We know that our sponsors work hard to earn their money. We view our job as honoring those efforts and connecting those funds to deserving students, to create real impact in students’ lives.
Since founding in 2002, VietHope has changed the lives of many young students by connecting them to sponsors’ support. During this time, sponsors have entrusted us with nearly $500,000, which we have channeled to support over 3,400 disadvantaged but talented students throughout Vietnam.
Each year, VietHope produces an Annual Report to all sponsors, which summarizes the way we stewarded their funds.
Read our 2013 Annual Report or view the highlights below:
- In 2013, sponsors around the U.S. and the world entrusted us with over $53,000
- We found and invested in 265 students who are financially disadvantaged but have high potential
- These students were in 6th grade-university, and lived in Saigon/HCMC, the Mekong Delta and Hue
- Beyond scholarships, students continued to grow together through our leadership development programs
As a 501(c)3 charity, VietHope reports our finances and operations to the IRS each year. Our annual PF-990 forms are provided below.
In addition, VietHope keeps sponsors updated on our strategy and activities through e-newsletters. These go out several times a year when we hit key milestones in programming. You can read and sign up for our just-in-time news.
